Who we are and what we are building

ZIRKUSS is a contemporary circus production company from Donostia. We fuse acrobatics, dance and visual arts to create innovative large-scale shows that surprise and move audiences (SUSTRAI, K.OS).

We also develop bespoke projects for corporate, institutional and cultural events. We are growing and want to welcome an organised person with initiative and sound judgement to join the company's core team.

Your role in the company

You will coordinate ZIRKUSS's day-to-day production: organising artists, handling the technical relationship with theatres and securing tour logistics so everything is ready on time. You will also take an active part in distribution, seeking new venues, circuits and opportunities for our shows.

The position is remote and flexible, based in Gipuzkoa. You do not need to attend every performance: the focus is on closing production well in advance and being available to support the team remotely and handle the unexpected on show or travel days. Occasional in-person presence will be agreed for specific appointments.

Main responsibilities

• Production and logistics

  Prepare road sheets, organise transport and accommodation, and coordinate the needs of artists and crew.

• Technical coordination with theatres

  Keep in touch with venues and festivals, adapt technical riders and anticipate needs before each set-up.

• Distribution and new opportunities

  Actively reach out to programmers, theatres, festivals, agencies and clients to present proposals and secure new bookings.

• Management

  Coordinate performance contracts, track costs per project and gather documentation for grant reporting.

What we are looking for

• Experience

  Background in performing arts, festival or event production.

• Technical understanding

  Understanding of lighting, sound and stage requirements to coordinate with technical teams.

• Languages

  Good command of Basque and English to work with local and international programmers, artists and venues.

• Initiative and responsiveness

  Autonomy to organise your work, anticipate problems and solve the unexpected with good judgement; eagerness to grow with the project.

• Technology

  We are a small team, but we work 100% in the cloud and organise everything online with tools such as Google Workspace, Holded, Lovable, etc.
