5th Juana Bizkarra Performing Arts Residency (Getxo)

K.OS is a contemporary circus piece inspired by Picasso’s Guernica. Artists become living symbols embodying the figures in the painting: the dove, the bull, the horse, the soldier, the mother, the women of the oil lamp, of lament, and of the kneeling posture. The scene opens with a granddaughter who discovers a box of letters that were never sent.

Each letter reveals a story of loss, flight, war, and resistance. The work combines acrobatic movement with poetic storytelling, in a black-and-white aesthetic—wordless, yet filled with screams. An emotional journey through the horror of war and the tenderness of those who survive it.
